3/24 Goodbye Georgia, Hello North Carolina

We crossed the GA/NC border today! It feels so good to finish our first state and to feel like we're making progress. We are beginning to get the hang of our daily routine, when we like to hike and how to read eachother's energy levels.

We hiked the entire day in pouring rain. With every summit, the rain got harder but hiking through the tunnels of rhododendron and tall pine forests was a distraction from the cold rain. We hiked 15.5 miles today, our last full day in Georgia.
