Our first zero day! We celebrated with a huge pancake breakfast and we secured the last room at a hiker hostel on the edge of town called The Sunnybank. The hostel is also a bed and breakfast and is housed in a Victorian home from 1840. Our room came with access to a private porch and porch swing. The home had a large dining area, common area, music room and kitchen. The place is owned by a man named Elmer, run by a young worker from Indiana and the resident house dog named Carter. We spent the afternoon at the laundromat, post office (mailed back winter clothing) and on the porch at the tavern.
