We started our day passing multiple trailheads, one of which was used by volunteers to carry in materials for the making of Peters Mountain Shelter. We passed Clark’s Creek where a lot of people were at Ishiguro to start Memorial Day weekend. We ate at Rattling Run Creek for lunch and passed Yellow Springs Village site near where there was an old mining settlement. We got to Rausch Gap shelter and decided to go the extra 6 miles to Lickdale where we could get a room, shower and get organized before getting picked up for Delfest the next morning. We tried hitching the two miles into town on a busy road full of people out for their Memorial Day weekend. After 30 minutes we were picked up by a man in a Jaguar. Success! We hiked 24.1 miles for the day.
