It rained overnight but stopped by the time we started hiking. We started our day by hiking through downtown Port Clinton. We had been warned that after Port Clinton is when we’d start hiking in rocks and that proved true. We had overlooks at Pulpit Rock, The Pinnacle and Dan’s Pulpit. We hiked through a very rocky section leading up to Allentown Hiking Club Shelter where we would stay the night. We were forced out of the shelter by loud snoring in the middle of the night but slept great once in our tent. We hiked 22.2 miles for the day.
