West Virginia Reflection

Favorite part
Joe- Harper’s Ferry history
Kathleen- visiting the ATC Headquarters and getting to see the book of all the hikers who had already come through this year
Least favorite part
Joe and Kathleen- We spent such a short amount of time in the state, we didn’t feel like we got to really see it.
Overall impression: West Virginia hiking was much like Virgina hiking only we began to see more rocks on the trail rather than dirt. WV was exciting because it meant we had successfully completed Virginia and that we could sign in at Harper’s Ferry as thru hikers.
Miles hiked in state: 16 miles
Days spent in state: less than one day

    Hi Joe and Kathleen
Just wanted to let you know we were thinking of you today in the extreme heat and hoping you were drinking plenty of water! Hope the new boots are working out well.
    All the best,
    Doug and Ruthie
