The breakfast at Bromley View Inn was incredible! They offered a few items which were made to order. On the menu for the morning was pumpkin spice french toast and cheddar and ham scramble with toast and hash browns. They knew we had an appetite and offered to make as much as we could eat. Yum! Kami dropped us off at the trail after we opted for taking a long morning at the inn. We climbed Bromley Mountain first and climbed up into the tower near the ski resort to get a five state view on a beautiful, clear morning. We then climbed over Styles Peak and Peru Peak before taking a break during a rain storm in Peru Peak Shelter. We managed to fit 14 hikers into the shelter and all enjoyed snacks before making a break for the next shelter. We jumped across planks floating in 6 inches of water near Griffith Lake, scaled rock slabs up Baker Peak and found a geocache on the summit. We stayed at Lost Pond Shelter and hiked 14.8 miles for the day.
