In the morning we passed multiple shelters, a suspension bridge and went for a swim in Little Rock Pond. We had lunch at Greenwall Shelter and ran into light afternoon storms during our climb up Bear Mountain. We climbed down to Claredon Gorge, a local swimming spot, and ran into trail magic sodas before our rock scramble climb up to Claredon Shelter. The shelter had a huge grassy area surrounded by tall pines with a brook nearby, wood already gathered for a fire and flower boxes tended by the caretaker. The day started out warm and sunny but ended cool and rainy. The group we stayed with held a Connect Four tournament with the game Mrs. Howell sent. We hiked 18.6 miles or the day.
