7/3 Day 108

Our morning started by climbing above tree line and hiking across Franconia Ridge. The ridge stayed above tree line for two miles and crossed over Little Haystack Mtn.,  Mt. Lincoln and Mt. Lafayette. While these climbs would usually feel difficult, the scenery distracted us well. We then climbed Mt. Garfield and sat near the summit for lunch. We took a break at Galehead Hut at the base of South Twin Mountain. The rest of our afternoon consisted of climbing Mt. Guyot, Zeacliff Ridge, Zealand Mtn. and securing a work for stay at Zealand Falls Hut. Six hikers were able to stay and our work for stay chores for the night consisted of cleaning out the freezer, organizing the pantry and creating a BB gun course for croo. We hiked 16.9 for the day and had a great time doing arts and crafts and feasting on lasagna at the end of our day.
