7/6 Mt. Washington Summit

The highest peak in the east is also accessible by road and cog railroad so more tourists visit here than one would expect. The summit is under cloud cover 55% of the time and the average daytime high in the summer is 52 degrees. In April, 1934, the highest on-land windspeed of 231 mph was recorded, which still stands as the world record.
