7/10 Day 115

We got up early this morning to take on Mahoosuc Notch, said to be the most difficult or most fun mile on the AT. Mahoosuc Notch is a section of trail just
over a mile long that travels through the middle of a boulder field. It is a requirement in some areas to take off your pack and push/pull it through caves
and cracks. It took us an hour and a half to complete but we loved it! After leaving the notch, we climbed Mahoosuc Arm, a large slab of rock on the steep
incline of a mountain near Speck Pond. After lunch, we climbed down to Grafton Notch. In the afternoon we climbed Baldpate east and west peaks, both with
exposed, bald summits. We decided to push the extra miles to get to Andover that night for a long overdue shower. A hostel called The Cabin picked us up near
Dunn Notch Falls where we were able to resupply, do laundry, shower and sleep in a bed, our first time since Hanover. We hiked 20 miles for the day.
