7/19 Day 124

Today we left Monson and began the 100 Mile Wilderness, named for the lack of roads and services along this stretch of trail. We were dropped off at the trailhead from a guy named Rookie who thru hiked in 07, had just moved to coastal Maine and grew up in Kirkwood before a move to St. Charles. We hiked past eight ponds, past Little Wilson Falls, forded three rivers and made it to Long Pond Shelter early for the night. We hiked 15.1 miles today.
